Matt came to us after graduating University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Biology, Psychology, and Political Science. Functional Fitness is the beginning of his career as a personal trainer, but his interest in fitness started several years ago in the Crossfit and Olympic weightlifting circuit. It was in these formats where he noticed how exercise can be rewarding, but also damaging to the human body. Through his education in Biology he gained an unique insight into the molecular and anatomical aspects of exercise.
In addition, through a background in psychology, Matt has also seen the plethora of benefits that exercise provides the human mind. It is these experiences that Matt brings into every session. This way each individual can improve their body and mind correctly and safely. The benefits of exercise can come in time and without harm.
